What the Bostitch N75C-1 Is Used For

This Bostitch coil siding nailer is made for high-volume exterior work:

  • Wood and fiber cement siding
  • Wall sheathing
  • Roof sheathing
  • Subfloor and other panel work

As a sheathing nailer, it moves fast across a wall. As a Bostitch siding nailer, the depth adjustment helps you set heads flush without marring the boards.

Choosing the Right Coil Nails

Use 15 degree coil nails, wire-weld or plastic collated, 1-1/2" to 3" long with a .090" to .131" shank. For siding, many pros pick galvanized or stainless nails so they don't rust or streak. Ring shank nails grip better in sheathing. Always follow the siding maker's nailing guide. Need nails with your Bostitch coil nail gun? Call us and we'll help you add the right coil for your job.

How to Load and Use the N75C-1

  1. Disconnect the air hose.
  2. Open the canister, drop in a coil of 15 degree nails and feed the first nails into the feed track.
  3. Set the canister floor for your nail length, then close the canister and the feed door.
  4. Set your compressor between 70 and 120 psi and connect the hose.
  5. Test on scrap and adjust the depth until heads sit flush.
  6. Press the nose to the work and pull the trigger.

Care, Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Put a few drops of pneumatic tool oil in the air inlet at the start of each day, use clean, dry air, and keep the feed track and canister clear of debris.

  • Clearing a jam: disconnect the air, open the feed door, remove the coil and pull the bent nail out of the nose. Reload and reconnect.
  • Nails not flush: raise the pressure a little or adjust the depth setting.
  • Misfeeds: check that the canister floor matches your nail length and that the coil is 15 degree.

Bostitch Siding Gun vs a Framing Nailer

A framing nailer drives longer, heavier nails for walls and floors. A Bostitch coil nailer built for siding, like this Bostitch siding gun, is lighter, holds more nails per load and is made for the thinner nails used on siding and sheathing. If your job is mostly exterior panels and siding, this is the better pick. Review the nail range above to make sure it covers your work.
